Hi, I have a xt912 Droid RAZR Maxx using 4.0.4 ICS and I used the root method that was provided here. I then went root app crazy and also installed the superuser.apk file with the Elite.
Here's a hypothetical situation that I'm trying to figure out:
Step 1: Buy a new phone, unlock the bootloader, root it, and put a custom recovery (TWRP or CWM) on it.
Step 2: Make a full backup (presumably saved in TWRP or CWM folder on SD)
Step 3: Revert back to stock and unroot the device.

So I've flashed a few ROMs on my phone, and decided I liked CM10 the best. I was previously using Slimbean 4.1.1 and was in the process of re-flashing CM10. I accidentally flashed (I THINK) the RemICS 4.0.1 ROM and got a bunch of error messages. Panicked, cleared all data, dalvik cache, the whole 9 yards and flashed the CM10 zip.

Hi There,
Once you have the steps together Rooting and Flashing Sony Xperia S on Android 4.0.4 is quite straightforward.
I installed CM10 unofficial and had signal issues and lost LTE so I wanted to go back to stock rooted. Flashed root66 via Odin and now my phone gets stuck at the 4g LTE bootscreen. I have tried everything to flash a recovery, but so far nothing has worked. I am able to access downloader mode and it says my phone is samsung official but custom and 1 flash count. What should I do now?
I flashed a custom ROM to my Xperia S. Du@l ROM.
After I flashed I lost CWM and Root... I tried to root it again using the auto root tool from bin4ry but it didn't work at all...
Now I'm stuck can anyone please help.
Cheers

If you want to get root access follow the steps below. (And no, this will not flash a custom recovery, and not, it will not make you "not stock".) Unlocked bootloader required.
