The nvidia drivers can now be installed from the repo

I installed OpenSuse Gnome version 64 bit on a HP laptop DV7 Intel Dual Core with nVidia 9600 GM card
All went well, until after I had installed the nVidia drivers from this page: NVIDIA drivers - openSUSE
I installed openSuse 11.3 (new installation), and all work fine.
But, the problems started when I wanted to install nvidia drivers.
I used two methods for that installation: A) By adding repository by hand:
YaST -> Software -> Software Repositories -> Add
Protocol: HTTP
Server Name: : download.nvidia.com
SDB:NVIDIA drivers - openSUSE says
I've tried installing Nvidia drivers on opensuse 11.3 (32 bit) for my graphics card which is a GeForce 250 GTS
Regardless of whether I do it 'the hard way' which I'm familiar with, or the Yareg repository way found on this forum I get the same behaviour

I've been trying to install the nvidia drivers using the 1-click install but failed miserably.
I get two error messages right at the start, after I accepted the changes that will be made to my system. First message is:

I've installed 11.3 KDE 64bit and it runs great.
I tried setting enable desktop effects and nvidia drivers have to be installed. I have Geforce 7100.
Seems like many are having trouble getting effects to work. should I install drivers from here:

I've been trying to get my graphic card working under ubuntu and opensuse but to no avail.
First, i tried through additional drivers, but after installation it keeps saying "this driver is activated but not currently in use". That is 3D-accelerated proprietary graphics driver for NVIDIA cards.
