Chinese-language consumers unwilling or unable to pay the cost of a legitimate copy of Microsoft's Windows XP now have a new alternative: a clone of the operating system that's based on Ubuntu. Dubbed "Ylmf OS," the software is available from Rain Forest Wind Guangdong Computer Technology as a free download on a dedicated Web site.

I tried installing Ubuntu 12.04.3 from a flash drive to dual-boot with my current Win7 Operating System; after putting the .iso on it with Linux Pen Drive It booted on the flash very well, but when it got to the part of the installation where you choose how you want to install it, I picked "Install alongside Windows 7".
After I clicked "Continue", it restarted my computer, there was a few command
I'm trying to install Zorin 9 Ultimate 64 bit linux,(based on Ubuntu), to dual boot my Lenovo Ideapad Y710 laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. Once Zorin is installed and I'm able to access each operating system, my DVD drive is not "shown" in Nautilus, in Zorin, or in Windows explorer, or in control Panel > device manager in Windows 7.
