I just built my first Linux machine (Fedora distribution) and love it. For my professional work, having access to Windows would help tremendously, and I'd like to be install Windows and have a choice of OS upon boot: Fedora or Windows.

I purchased a used machine, the seller had preloaded Windows XP pro on the computer, well you know the story, I got it home, plugged it into the internet and M$ started auto updating to SP 3 and I had no way to block it like I did with an XP blocking script as I did in the past with another Windows box.
Help appreciated for a Fedora newbie.
I bought a windows 8 box, so I could install Fedora 18. I did not want to risk my main PC.
I first installed Fedora on a Virtual machine under Win 8, no problem, but it runs slowly. Then I tried to install Fedora as a dual boot. It failed to start from the DVD.
I then discovered you have to disable the secure boot feature from the boot menu.
Hi,
I am new to fedora forum.
I have a machine having fedora. I want to install windows in it , but I am scared that I might loose my fedora.
Kindly help..............
I have dual boot configured with Windows 7 (32bit) and Ubuntu 12.04(64bit). I installed Ubuntu after windows, now my windows is corrupt due to some virus and I need to reinstall it. Currently when I start my PC, grub loader comes up and I need to select Ubuntu or Windows.
I was wondering how can I install windows again and still have my Ubuntu install?
In my machine, before that, I use fedora 17 and Windows 7. It's smoothly and nothing happen.
But when I change to openSUSE 12.2: when i install openSUSE, i see that openSUSE delete all linux partition, and partition again base on its need. For example, I have swap partition with size = 1GB, openSUSE resize to 2.5GB.
And after I install openSUSE, I cannot hibernate from Windows 7 again.
