In the software centre the latest release of Miro available is 4.0.4 whereas the latest release of Miro is 5.0.4.

Miro, a new application for Internet video has been designed to be an easy app that will give users an amazing full-screen show. With over thousands of free videos that can be viewed from the Internet, Miro gives the user the ability to download all the chosen videos they enjoy as soon as they are released.

I've installed miro from the PPA as the directions on the website tell me (miro 6.0). The program does not start, but when I run "sudo miro" it seems to work fine. I have tried installing the latest stable build from source but it has the same issue. Is there a way to make Miro always start as root from the launcher, or are there some permissions I need to set to use Miro without sudo?
