I have knoppix 7.2 installed to an 8GB Flash drive, but I recently got a new 16GB FDD. I used DD to copy the contents from the old drive to the new one. However, 8GBs is still being unused. How would I go about transferring my install to the new Flash drive ?
I installed Knoppix 7.2 DVD to a Flash Drive. I would like to change the default boot options to "knoppix64 desktop=kde" so I don't have to type it in every time. I can't really find a decent recent source for instructions (i don't see a menu.lst file anywhere).
Is anyone else kind of surprised there is not a Knoppix distribution sub-forum?
I have a laptop that I got from work, and installed Knoppix on a thumbdrive so I could use it for personal use. When I installed Knoppix, the laptop was a Dell and I installed Knoppix 6.4, everything worked fine out of the box. But I installed it on a 16 Gig thumbdrive. Surprisingly I filled the drive up. So I got a new 64 gig one and have installed knoppix 7.2 on it.
Well I know it isn't ruined, but I just dd'd the newest DSL onto my 4GB flash drive. The problem is, I without thinking copied it right over the partition table and now the flash drive shows up named "KNOPPIX" and says it is locked. Even after using gparted to completely erase it AND create a new file system several times over, it is still named KNOPPIX, and locked. Any ideas?

It's been more than a year since the previous Knoppix release, but the developers have returned with a new update, which brings quite
