Hi,I bought whole new PC (with UEFI), and I got some problems with my previous installation of Chakra (didn't boot anymore), so I decided to back up all my stuff and do a clean & new install on my 1TB HDD (that I kept).I deleted all the old partitions, created a GPT partition table the ways the wiki says (http://chakra-linux.org/wiki/index.php/ … tion_Table), using the CLI/ncurses method,
Hi Koshie! thank you very much for your reply! I read the description in your link but my problem is a little bit different. I have installed linux on my macbookpro before, and never had any peculiar problem. But this time with chakra is different... I'm not trying to dual boot my hard drive, instead, i'm trying to single boot chakra...
Yesterday I installed Chakra in a virtual machine. I wanted to try to move partitions on an installed hard disk. Reason is, that I have a separate /boot partition and this was slightly to small. So I thought of resizing it and tried this procedure first in a virtual machine.
honor & Alejandro Nova - it appears that I do have "systemd" installed. I don't remember installing it separate from the regular installation of Chakra. I do have separate / and /usr partitions that I setup when I installed Chakra.philm - thanks for the info. Should I just wait until package is added to the repository?
1. Correct link http://chakra-linux.org/wiki/index.php/ … tion_TableBut do you have a GPT or ms-dos table? I've just installed the new Chakra Claire release but I still have Chakra 32 bits in another partition. Now I want to use the new Chakra install as a SpiderOak device, so AFAIK I have to restore the device, but I don't want to dowload all my files from SpiderOak, because they are in my hard disk, in the other partition. Is there any way to avoid this?
Hello,I tried to install Chakra Claire with tribe, but the installation of the bootloader failed miserabily at the end of the installation (in fact, it's seems to be the same problem like this post : http://chakra-project.org/bbs/viewtopic.php?id=8433).
