I just installed Arch for the first time on my raspberry pi. I followed the install guide for openLDAP on the wiki but noticed that a few extra steps were necessary. After:# cp /etc/openldap/DB_CONFIG.example /var/lib/openldap/openldap-data/DB_CONFIG
# chown ldap:ldap /var/lib/openldap/openldap-data/DB_CONFIGI had to run:chown ldap:ldap /etc/openldap
chown ldap:ldap /run/o
I am trying to install openldap server on ubuntu 12.10 64 bit. I want to copy/move openldap server which I was using on centos 6.
Ubuntu uses slapd.d (i.e. cn=config) method over slapd.conf (i.e.flat-file) method and hdb database for openldap. I have openldap configured with slapd.conf and bdb database on my previous centos box. How can I migrate openldap server from centos to ubuntu.
I have just installed fresh Centos 6.2 with openldap and samba with yum command. I'm having a bit of issue with finding the slapd.conf file. There is a folder for slap.d/ but no conf file in it by default. I can see folders
and ldap.conf file.
I have also checked in Fedora 15 and found same situation taht there is no slapd.conf file. So now where to start ?
How to install OpenLDAP Server on Debian or Ubuntu
This document describes how to install and configure OpenLDAP in Debian/Ubuntu Server. I will use OpenLDAP to configure a corporate organizational structure through OpenLDAP.
I trying a long time that, but not successfull. I need set OpenLDAP proxy for two AD on different domains (domain1.cz and domain2.cz). I create CentOS server in domain1 with OpenLDAP and I can bind to both AD by ldapsearch.
