Though the Software center is showing that "Adobe Flash Plugin" is installed in my computer, which is a Compaq Presario c700 running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, yet some websites like www.youtube.com is prompting me to download Adobe Flash Plugin to view online streaming.
PS: I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Plugin
I have the ubuntu adobe flash player plugin from the software centre.. and By the way i am on ubuntu 10.10 since this computer can't handle the newer ubuntu.. :|. I'm wondering how do i do a clean install of the flash player plugin? I know to uninstall it but is there a profile folder that it is in that i should delete after the sudo apt-get remove of it?

After a fresh Ubuntu installation, one of the important things is to install the flash plugin for watching videos via web browser.
For 32-bit, search and install flash plugin in Ubuntu Software Center.
For 64-bit, download .tar.gz from the official site. click here and select “.tar.gz for other Linux”.

Been having problems with flash, and I really need some help.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall in yast
no luck. uninistalled again.
I downloaded and installed Adobe Flash 10 rpm direct from adobe.
I shut down firefox and then restarted...went to youtube....
no luck. I get the annoying error:
Every time I am try to install Adobe Flash plug-in via Ubuntu Software center, I get the error message:
Package dependencies cannot be resolved
I tried various commands in the terminal but I couldn't fix the problem.

Today after regular system updates I received a following message when I opened a flash required webpage in Firefox "install latest version of adobe flash plugin"
I went to the software centre. It was showing as already installed. So I reinstalled it.
