I have my own domain name and webhosting, and I use IMAP email with that.
I think Android doesn't allow you to do that kind of email. It only allows four types of email accounts: gmail, hotmail, Yahoo!, and AOL. Is that true?
I couldn't use my own email last time I had Android, which was when I had a Verizon Motorola Droid II in 2011. I had to use gmail...ugh.

Hi, I got the S3 Friday (liked it better than i5, after 3 i's) & set up my emails including yahoo. The yahoo was working & today I saw a notification of email receipt and swiped it away from the notifications (without reading that yahoo email). Later on I went to look at yahoo mail but the account is no longer shown in the email app account list.

Just got my S2X the yesterday afternoon and am loving it so far! Just confused with a few small things, the biggest one currently being that I have setup a hotmail and Gmail email via the Email app. The hotmail email works perfectly, the email one on the other hand does not load any emails no matter how many times I refresh? it says load more conversations but it loads nothing.

Outlook.com, Microsoft's new Hotmail, is not working on my DNA. I tried to set it up via Windows Live Hotmail and just plain Mail (POP) and it will not authenticate. I used both my Hotmail and Outlook email addresses. Is anyone else having this problem?
