Hi
On my system i have win xp and Fedora 12 installed. My Grub menu used to be
1. Fedora 12
2. Windows Xp
As normally i had Fedora and Windows. Now after an update it shows,
1.
now it shows:
Code:
hiddenmenu
title Fedora (2.6.31.6-145.fc12.i686)
root (hd0,5)
I'm sure there is a thread on this somewhere, but after looking though the first 100+ search results, I can't seem to find it.
After a kernel update today, I noticed that new kernels are not being added to my grub menu.lst (so consequently, I was running an older kernel).
Debian if my first OS and i want to dual boot Fedora12
Ok i installed Fedora12 and choose not to install the bootloader(gonna use the one Debian installed)
What i'm tring to do in Debain is edit my /boot/grub/menu.lst
Here is what i have
Code:
title Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.26-1-686
I am a bit confused about my current kernel/kmod-nvidia update situation. When I run "yum check-update" I am confronted with the output below:
I've installed Fedora 11 on top of Windows 7, and at startup, when I select Windows 7 to boot to, I get a message saying:
Code:
NTLDR is missing
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to Restart
Currently, I have my boot layout setup so that when my computer starts I go into grub. The content of my /boot/grub/menu.lst file looks like this:
I just upgraded a F9 to F11 using the network install. After the successful install message, I rebooted to find the boot stuck on a grub prompt. After determining that somehow grub had not been installed properly, I used the rescue mode to re-install grub. When I then rebooted, I saw a blank (black) screen during the rhgb sequence, with just the multicolor progress bar moving from left to right.
The latest update changed the default boot from 0 to 1 and added extra parameters to the new kernel boot line.

Hello,
I run F12. Since some days my laptop has become very sluggish. In Mozilla, switching between the tabs takes like seconds instead of fraction of a second. Also minimizing and mximizing windows takes long. Switching between the windows too takes long. Now I can't see the cursor while typing this post.
