This is Shankar from Pune, India. I have Motorola xt 800 which runs on outdated 2.1. I want to upgrade it to at least 2.2. It is under Motorola India warranty. I am quite new to smartphone! Any help would be greatly appreciated?
Motorola Mobility announced an enhanced version of its QWERTY-enabled Motorola Pro phone destined for Europe and Asia. The Motorola Pro+ moves up to Android 2.3, is considerably lighter, and offers improved 640 x 480 resolution and Corning Gorilla glass for its 3.1-inch screen, but carries over a 1GHz processor, a five-megapixel camera, and business-oriented features....
Mozilla said that Spreadtrums $25 Firefox OS phone will soon be carried by Intex and Spice in India, and it also signed up Taiwan-based Chunghwa Telecom. It seems only fitting that the country that brought us the $25 tablet should also be the first to try out the $25 smartphone.
As we reported a couple weeks ago, Motorola Mobility and Intel have an event coming up on September 18th in London when we expect a public announcement regarding Motorola’s first phone to use Intel’s Medfield chip. Use of Intel chips in Motorola phones was announced at the beginning of 2012. It is not clear what else Motorola and Intel may be planning to announce.
