My wife's phone has been having issues with the Time and Date. Several times it has automatically changed the date back to september 7th and switches the time zone to atlantic time (we're on the east coast - eastern standard time) Anybody else having this issue and or know why? It is set to receive this info from the carrier but I'm tempted to just set it from the phone only.
I have been having some weird problems with NTP for a while.
If I use ntpdate to set the time then it sets fine.
i have a log file that has the date and time that looks like this:
Code:
Wed Jun 28 15:46:21 2012 test failed tailed passed passed not error panic
what we want to focus on is the first 5 columns because they contain the date and time.
the date and time can be anywhere on the line. in this particular case, the date and time is at the beginning of the line.
Hello,Lately the time on my computer gets getting screwed up, setting itself to UTC instead of local time. I have to change it manually each time. Setting the option "Set time and date automatically" doesn't work very well. Most of the time, it says "Unable to contact time server".
I set my date and time to sync with the Internet time, but it does not show the right time. How can I set the time zone so it will show the right time?
Right now I set the location to Dallas, Texas to try to use the Central Time zone, but the time does not change.
Thanks.
We just had an earthquake and our reporting service logs it in UTC Universal Coordinated Time.
For example
Earthquake information last modified: 2013-01-10T03:10:59.396Z (UT)
I have no idea what time this is?
Is there an app in Linux that I can paste the UTC time into and get the local time?
I need to check for the current time and abort the script if it is not proper time of day I am supposed to run it and also if anyone else runs it it should abort.
For example: I need my script to run if it is started only after 10 PM and before 2 AM i.e. the 4 hour window.
Currently I am doing the following.
Because of my experience with GTK on the Mac G4, I did a very crude benchmark of the Murrine vs. default GTK engines. The computer used is an Asus Eee 1005HAB running Debian Squeeze (with Xfce). I tested all actions, with 500 iterations per action. Here are the results.
