iiNet unveils IPTV PVR pricing

iiNet's pay TV service over broadband is going on sale this month, offering some real competition for Foxtel -- as long as you're not a sports fan.

iiNet has revealed that FetchTV will be providing the content for its long-awaited IPTV service.

iiNet has launched its long-awaited IPTV service based on resale of FetchTV and branded fetchtv 2, soon to be followed by fetchtv 1.

It's due to launch commercially next month, and a group of home-users are already trialling iiNet's IPTV service.

Ten months after it kicked off a trial of the service and almost a year after it was launched by rival iiNet, national broadband provider Internode has launched the FetchTV internet video service on its network, pricing the offering at very similar rates to those offered by iiNet.

IPTV service provider FetchTV, whose service will be resold by iiNet and other Australian ISPs, has selected middleware from Israeli company Orca Interactive to underpin its service offering.
