If LibreOffice borked your apt-get here is a solution

http://ubuntuforums.org – you need to remove libreoffice completely to resolve the apt-get failure issue which renders apt-get broken, and your whole system is therefore borked. But how can you remove libreoffice if apt-get doesn't work? simple, use "sudo aptitude purge libreoffice". For now, at least, you can live without libre. (Hardware)
