First I have a unroot and unlocked galaxy s2 skyrocket, I tried several times upgrade my galaxy s2 skyrocket to ICS through Kies Software but every time I have the same issue.
After Kies says that there is a new firmware to my device and ask me if I want to upgrade, Kies starts to download and reach the 100% but after that nothing happens, the phone reconnect again to kies and say the same thin
Alright, this should be simple enough but I want to make sure I get it done right. I have an ATT Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, and I have it running a custom AOKP Jelly Bean ROM because it took so long for att to come out with their own and it is light years better than the stock OS.
What I am trying to do is get the new official jelly bean update ATT just released, on my Skyrocket.
I know this comes as welcome news this morning for AT&T owners of the Samsung Galaxy S III after reading about the T-Mobile version receiving Jelly Bean in mid-November. It looks multiple users have reported today that you can grab the Jelly Bean update for the AT&T Galaxy S III via Kies Desktop Software.
i just rooted my At&t samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket with the new jellybean update 4.1.2 with the cyanogenmod version 10.0 and my 4g speed is really slow. i am using straight talk service right now. its only going at 0.23 mbps, its like 4 times slower than normal. please help. :(
I'm considering getting the skyrocket or the gnex. I've used the gs2 epic 4g a bunch and like Samsung's style and the look of the gs2...I'm going to use this on straight talk, so I'm wondering, how would you upgrade from gingerbread to ice cream sandwich or Ics to jb without using roms? Is it with the kies software? The skyrocket will get JB officially, right?
So my dad and I both have the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE Skyrocket from Rogers; I727R. A couple days ago I updated mine via Kies from Gingerbread 2.3.5 to Jellybean 4.1.2. Today I tried updating his (also GB 2.3.5), but once I connect his device, Kies says it already has the latest firmware.
A little less than a month ago CyanogenMod 9 RC1 (Release Candidate 1) was released with a lot of excitement, but now with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean being all the rave I can see an Ice Cream Sandwich ROM release being easily overlooked.
Can anybody restore my lost wifi tethering function? I have a Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket on the ATT network (i727). I recently upgraded through Kies to the new Jelly Bean 4.1.2 from GB and lost my root. I rerooted with twrp 22.214.171.124. in odin and all went well. I then went to check on my wifi tether for root users app and it was a no-go.
