This may be a bit of a noob question but I'm new to HTC.
I've imported a DNA into the UK and I'm using my UK SIM without any problems, the only question I have is in the network selection, does anyone know if I should use "Global" or "UMTS/GSM" settings?
key issue: overseas mobile network carrier VS verizon...
I have tried at least 4 or 5 versions of ICS, still don't know how to get mobile data working, the newest version I tried was "(Rom)(Leak) 7.01.605.01 Verizon Vivow Ics Sense 3.6 *8.21.12" , just like AOKP and MIUI, everything else works fine (wifi, camera, video etc) except mobile data.

Friend of mine picked up an HTC One the other day off CL for Sprint and decided to use it for T-Mobile.
The person was using it on Sprints network before and so under Network Mode, "GSM/UMTS Only" had to be selected because it was still receiving signal from Sprint through CDMA, but not Data.
I am an experienced phone flasher and flash phones for a living at my store in Dover, De. I have flashed well over 100 phones to pageplus and most I have just got the 1x data and didnt do a HA AAA password clone from a verizon donor phone. I knew I would only get 1x data. Now my question is this: Does anyone know of a reson why data would suddenly stop working on my Galaxy SIII.
I have a Nexus 4 with a limited calls & data plan. I will be leaving the country and it will cost big bucks if I receive any calls. So I will use WiFi. I would like to disable the cell phone without removing the SIM and still use WiFi. So "airplane mode" is not suitable.
If I have mobile data turned off in settings (i.e. using exclusively wifi when available), does this also mean that my smartphone won't be able to receive MMS? If so, do I get some kind of a prompt (or only the text part of the message) so that I can turn it on temporarily only to receive the MMS waiting to be delivered?
In any case...
