I use lvm for my Documents, Videos etc. I am replacing my Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos folders with symbolic links to the respective logical volumes and still want to retain all the default functionalities and look. First, I right clicked and went to /usr/share/icons/Humanity/icons/64 to select icons. But when I view the icons in nautilus they are slightly smaller than the default icons.
When I choose icons for my desktop-files, I have the issue that a lot of them will not load in Tint2, especially the action-icons. What could cause this? Furthermore, when I look in /usr/share/icons there are a couple of Faenza-Crunchbang folders, but there seems to be very little inside the folders. Can I get these icons anywhere else?

OK so i am working on a older laptop 1.8 pentium m and decided to try and older basic style theme since i could not play youtube videos without disabling wbar and wallpaper so far everything is working but i would really really like to put the O.G.
I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 and a few days ago I switched to gnome3. Now I have still a few folders I'm using for everyday work on my desktop. I want to group them in specific areas of the desktop to reflect my working style ... but every time I log out and in again, all folders, icons etc.
I just installed my-humanity icon theme on my Ubuntu 12.10 but i have an issue :
I extracted the archive to /usr/share/icons or/and to ~/.icons but when i apply the icon theme from gnome twek tool home folders icons dont update but stay to Ubuntu mono dark default icons.
I have a storage partition with four folders on it named "All (universal)", "Windows", "Mac", and "Linux". In my "All (universal)" folder I have three folders, labeled "Pictures", "Documents" and "Videos". In my "Linux" folder I have a folder labeled "Downloads".
I am running archlinux, gnome 3. Unlike ubuntu, archlinux' gnome does not create the bundle of default folders, like Documents, Pictures, Movies, Templates etc. This seems to be no problem, as any user should be able to create the folders, shouldn't he.
I want to reduce the icons size in all the folders. In ubuntu 11.9, version, there is an option to decrease icons size and I changed there, and all the icons size is reduced recursively. I am using 11.10 version now. Here, whichever folder I open every time I need to zoom out.(I want zoom out). If I have 20 recursive folders, I open each and every folder and right click there and zoom out.
