I click the icon for update.
Than i click show update, it doesn't open up the update?
What are the step that i need to take, to get the show update working again?

The update information is outdated. This may be caused by network problems or by a repository that is no longer available. Please update manually by clicking on this icon and then selecting 'Check for updates' and check if some of the listed repositories fail."
I click show updates and then it opens the update manager and i click check.
Running Xubuntu 12.04 32 bit on my laptop. I have the gui grub configuration tool installed. There is an update available but the updater gives a message that the update is from untrusted sources and the only button to click is OK. When I click OK the update closes. How do I get this update installed or make it not continue to show up?
Like the title says the Update Manager doesn't show up automatically, like it used to do, when there are available updates. To be more specific ,the only way I can update my packages/installed programs is either via Terminal or run open manually the Update Manager.Does anybody know how can I fix that?
In Linux Mint 13, the update manager (the shield icon) always appears in the notification area at the right corner of the bottom panel. Even if you right click on it to quit, it will reappear the next time you boot. To permanently remove this icon, you will need to go to the Menu (in both MATE and Cinnamon), search for Startup Applications.
