ICEauthority can't update

http://forums.opensuse.org – After installing madwifi, I get this error message at login couldn't update ICEauthority/home/name/ICEaithority. Now I don't have to login i.e. enter my password. It just goes to a black screen and I get this error, which I close out and than I am logged into my desktop which seems to be fine. (Distributions)

Hi I have a F17 Kernel 3.5.0-2 machine which will boot fine and open a Gnome Login Screen. When I attempt to login it comes back with an error message. Could not update ICEauthority file /home/xxxx/.ICEauthority. (xxxx is user). Is there away to clear this authentication hangup that will allow me to login properly? I have tried 'mv to a .bak file. No luck. Tried touch function.

I am not able to boot Ubuntu.

Hi all I am not able to boot ubuntu i am facing four problems in serial please do help me to solve this i am stating each one below,

1) When I switch on my computer the ubuntu boots than at starting it says "the disk drive for /boot/uboot is not ready yet or not present" wait or press s to skip or m to add manually.

2)after pressing s than i go to login than once i login using my password than m

when i go to log in this error code appears. i have tried using "chown james:james /home/james/.ICEauthority" followed by "chmod 644 /home/james/.ICEauthority" in the root menu,but this was unsuccessful.

after i tried to install HD plug in for veetle, i restarted the computer and tried to log in to my session and i got this message: Could not update ICEauthority file /home/ouarzazatemaroc/.ICEauthority i tried these commands as mentioned in some Threads sudo chown you:you ~/.Iceauthority chmod 0600 ~/.Iceauthority sudo chmod 755 /etc/gconf/gconf.xml*

i tried any solved posts, nothing worked for

hola a todos acabo de actualizar desde ubuntu 10 a ubuntu 12.10 pero cuando termino la instalación me pido reiniciar luego cuando quiero ingresar con mi cuenta de administrador me sale un mensaje de ERROR (Could not Update ICEauthority file /home/carlos/ICEauthority) y me pide cerrar la sesión es decir no me permite ingresar que puedo hacer, intente reinstalar pero igual.porfavor pido que me ayude
