ibus Update

http://chakra-project.org – Here's the current ibus package which is out of date. I tried making a new package but it fails on compilation saying glib.h is missing. Now can someone either tell me which libs to install to compile it or compile it themselves and upload it? Thanks :-) (HowTos)

Well...ibus SEEMS to have a stable version now. And it's updated in Arch repo. So, should the INTEGRATION be enable in gsd again?Actually just before it's disabled, some engines begin to work.

How can I install a package that's named "gir-ibus" in Ubuntu? If it's not in the repo, can anyone make a package?

I disagree with peterfyj. Stil not outputing exactly what I type, preferences still refuse to be changed.I'm on the latest update, I've deleted ~/.config/ibus and reinstalled ibus & ibus-pinyin, no luck.

I am trying to compile rrdtool from the source package.

I've been testing out the new Statler release on an ASUS Eee and I really like--it's fast and responsive. I need to be able to input East Asian text, however, so I tried to install either 'ibus' or 'scim' which was available in the default repos from Statler release 2011.02.04When I searched for ibus or scim in Synaptic, however, the base package was not to be found!

ibus works for me in java (ibus-anthy, but that shouldn't be a difference), but I don't have that line in my bashrc: ibus-daemon -d -x &

Today I installed Statler A2 and tried the new input method named 'iBus'. http://code.google.com/p/ibus/Its configuration was much easier than SCIMs (I use Chinese Pinyin input) and was installed in short time.

I need to manually install the drivers for my graphics card, which is an ATI 2600 xt. But I am using a 64-bit platform and to do so i need the ia32-libs package. i have scoured the net for fixes, workarounds etc. but have found none that work. the output i get after trying apt-get is: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information...

I think ibus is the best input method but it can only be installed via ccr or Chakra put it to extra.I  like also  fcitx bur for typing Japanese Korean and Chinese ibus is much more better.I am hoping to see ibus and ibus-gtk support  on the extra repo.
