I see sym links for runlevels in 2 diff directories. Shouldn't it be just one?

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I use Fedrora 13. I'm going to upgrade soon. I was looking in the /etc directory and saw run level control directories in two different places. I see runlevel symbolic links in: Code: /etc/rc0.d /etc/rc1.d /etc/rc2.d and so on.... and: Code: /etc/rc.d/rc0.d /etc/rc.d/rc1.d /etc/rc.d/rc2.d and so on... Which group of directories holds the symbolic links that are actually used at startup for each runlevel? Why two different locations? Is there a configuration file somewhere that determines which directory is used? Thank you (HowTos)
