When I crop a figure in microsoft office word. The figure shown in libreoffice is the figure before cropping. Libre office shows the full uncropped figure.
So I just got my RAZR M and I charged it last night, it charged ok but really slow to about 98%, then I unplugged it and was using it, just trying to figure a lot of the stuff out, and my battery says the screen uses the most battery. So I fiddled around with it for about an hour and it was around 80%.
I spent ages trying to figure this out. As it happens, I don't need to do it any more; I found another way. But for the sake of my sanity, I'd like to know the answer anyway.
It's quite easy to use sed to replace a marker with some piece of text. What I can't figure out is how to make sed insert a huge block of text, with complex formatting such as multiple lines, tab characters, etc.
I have been trying to figure out the relationship between file descriptors. One thing I don't understand is, how is:
ls -l /bin/usr > ls-output.txt 2>&1
different from:
ls -l /bin/usr 2>&1 >ls-output.txt
i've switched my gnome fedora to kde but now there is one thing missing.
see, in gnome, there was this nifty thing that when u click on an iso, it mounts it automatically. i cannot figure out how to do this in KDE... i know how to mount them through terminal, but its too big a hassle.
My new laptop (Dell Inspiron 14z) comes with preinstalled Windoze 8, and I can't seem to install Fedora on the damn thing. Fedora 17 CDs and DVDs gets recognized as boot media, but immediately after choosing that media to boot from, Windoze starts up again.
Hi firs time posting in this forum a friend gave me a i9000 to fix for him (his words ) i want to install cm9 but am having trouble instyalling cwm, i understand this is possible using hiemdall but cant figure out how to do this in osx (have no access to a windows or linux computer)

After yet another random, unpredictable and un-explainable performance decrease in Windows 7 today I'm seriously considering switching to Ubuntu as my primary O/S.
However, the main thing holding me back from the switch at the moment is:
Adobe Creative Suite
Visual Studio (need for college)
Microsoft Office (I'd be happy enough with open office though)
I think for everything else, I could figure
I would like to have 7 home screens and i also am trying figure out how to use panoramic camera i was told it has one just cant figure it out
