i am using Fedora 17 with Xfce as Default Desktop. There is no Calculator installed. So i want to install one eg. Gnome Calculator but i cannot find it in package manager can anybody help me?
There is a new gnome-calculator (3.7.5) in the Gnome3 Staging PPA.
Also there is a new transitional gcalctool (3.7.5) package to ease the transition from gcalctool to gnome-calculator.
However, upgrading gcalctool from the recent version (6.6.2) to the new 3.7.5 version is not succesfull.
This is because this upgrade also installs gnome-calculator and there is an error overwriting one same packag
Went to open Calculator the other day, in Win8.1, on the desktop. Clicked Start button, got to start screen, clicked the down arrow to get to all apps, found Calculator, and BAM, full-screen Metro app. Totally useless to me.
So I finally found the "right" calculator, if you hit Winkey+S (for Search), then type Calc, you get not just one, but two listings for calculator.

The GNOME Project has announced a few days ago the immediate availability for download and testing of the third development release towards GNOME Calculator 3.12, which introduces new features, fixes bugs and updates translations.
