Hello,I have a Sybase database install in CentOS 5, and it is listening in the port 5000.I am trying to test if I have access from a Windows 7 machine to the CentOS machine ... [by josea]
I think I configured my Samba fine, but I cant access the share from a Windows machine. The network is set as bridged in VB configuration and I can ping the Windows machine from CentOS. Also, I can ping it back from the Windows machine.
I recently download centos 6.4 minimal 1386 from http://centos.mirror.net.in/centos/6.4/isos/i386/ and installed it on my old Pentium4 32 bit machine at home. It has got one 80gb HDD and splited into 3 partitons. Two of them are ntfs filesystem consist of Windows XP present in them since long before. I made the third partition to ext4 and installed centos 6.4 in it.
I tried putting this in forums that are designed for troubleshooting CentOS but I need an answer asap since they have to review my post before it is even posted.
Here is the issue, I was setting up a test on a CentOS 6.3 machine. I have used it before with no problems and I didn't make any updates or changes (no I did not install anything when this error started).
