I am struggling to figure out why my ubuntu (precise) server always close an connection from the server side at around 24hours.
Basic info:
Server OS: CentOS 6.3
Client tool: PuTTY
I SSH to my server using PuTTY.
I added an account with /sbin/nologin shell.
Hey guys,
I have an Oracle Database at a remote server. I have created a SSH tunnel (using putty) to that remote database server and I am able to access that database server using 127.0.0.1:1521.
I am creating a web application and to test it I execute it at: localhost:8080/WebApplication.
However, every time, I create the putty session, I am unable to access my web application.
I have an Ubuntu 12.04.01 desktop PC, 64-bit. It has openssh-server installed.
When I SSH to the server from a linux box it works. But when I use PuTTY from my
Windows 7 PC to connect then I just get an immediate error:
The server closed the connection unexpectidely
Both the server and the PC are on the same LAN.
Hi all,
Host - Fadora17 desktop 64bit
Client - Opensuse 12.2 server
KVM - virtualizer.
Openssh server is running on Opensuse server and Openssh client is running on Fadora desktop. I can ssh connect the server on Fadora desktop. Now I expect testing PuTTY, the emulator, which I haven't used before. I have following questions?
1) Do I need to install PuTTY on both server and desktop?
here is my situation.
I need to access an FTP server at work. The server will only accept local IP's, so I cannot access it from my home machine. I have been able to ssh into my unix work machine through PuTTY and from there successfully open a console ftp connection to the FTP server. I could work through this, but I would prefer not to as it is very cumbersome for me.
Hi, I know I'm doing something wrong; but what?
I use putty to establish an SSH connection to a remote server.
The putty configuration; under SSH/Tunnels is set to forward source port 5901 to localhost:5901.
And that looks like it is set correctly. In putty under "Forwarded ports" it say: "L5901 localhost:5901".
