http://androidforums.com – Thank you for taking the time to check out my thread. I bought an HTC Evo 4g from a friend of mine. I've got it completely set up with all of my information and it's working perfectly. However, his name is plastered all over the lock screen and call screen. It's in the middle of the lock screen on the slide to unlock portion and in the upper left hand corner of the call screen. I've searched all over the phone to see where I can change this, or just plain erase it, but there's no obvious options to do so. I've also done a factory data reset on it in attempt to allow me to put in my own info (General)

Hi guys, I searched around and couldn't find an answer so decided to ask here.

I recently lost my evo 3D and bought a new one to replace it. I noticed after a while that when the phone's screen has been off for a while (i.e. about 30-45 seconds or more) whenever it comes on, it is completely dark.

My wife broke her Droid Razr by dropping it on the cement. The screen is cracked and the screen is black. If I plug it into the HDMI port I can see the screen, but only half the screen is responsive, so i can't do the pattern unlock. I am wondering if this phone is ok to dispose of, either by selling for parts or just recycling.

Hi guys, Did anybody else slide to unlock stop functioning after the 4.04 update? Mine just started misbehaving. After awhile of phone use lock screen just disappeared. when I reboot it comes back on for a short while. I suspected light flow and I uninstalled it but no dice.

Any one else with this issue? I might have to do a factory reset.

i completely disabled htc sense via cleantool. now i have stock android lock screen (slider ) witch i like, but when i get incoming call while screen is locked there is no slide to answer screen witch i had on my previous android phone. Phone is ringing but screen is locked and i cant see who is calling.

I have a rooted (boot loader unlocked) HTC Wildfire S Marvel (A510E)

It has a strange problem. The lock screen freezes every time after locking and I have to try about 6 to 7 times to unlock it.

This is Common across all the ROMs that I have tried including stock and many Custom ROMs.

...i bought this phone from a friend who bought it from a friend who bought it from a friend and so on, and the reason it keeps being resold is, it had a pattern lock on the screen that noone could get through.

I was wondering whether anyone else has experienced these strange issues with the lock screen.

1. When I press the lock (sleep) button on the side of the phone, the screen turns off, but often when I put the phone down straight afterwards it comes back on by itself. There are no notifications, messages, battery alerts etc either, it just unlocks and sits on the home screen.

I noticed today that when screen is locked with slide security you can still pull down status bar and unlock phone as well you can hit the menu button to unlock phone. If I put to face or pattern these options go away. Is there a way to lock status bar when in lockscreen? And more so lock menu button in lock screen so the phone doesn't open in my procket? I'm running Baked Bean ROM.

This is for a Galaxy S3, 4.1.2 updated. I chose to have the screen lock with password, and set the lock to become active after 30 minutes. This works fine normally, the screen switches off in 30 sec, and anytime within 30 min I can get back to the screen without pw or swiping. Well...
