Hulu Labs Cooks Up Linux Support For Hulu Desktop

When I first started Desktop Linux Reviews, I wanted to include some Linux applications along with the distribution reviews. I’ve finally gotten around to that now and the first application review is Hulu Desktop for Linux.

In a bid to beef up the kid-friendly credentials of its Hulu Plus online video streaming service, Nickelodeon programming is being added to the service for the first time.

I have a F12 x86_64 box attached to my 1080p TV, and I have not been very satisfied with flash performance full screen 64 or 32 bit. By extension hulu desktop, which just uses whatever plugin you've got configured for firefox, is also difficult to watch. So I've played around a little bit, and found a few things useful.

Hi, as the title implies, I just installed the new Hulu Desktop for Linux in my 64 bit Fedora. When trying to start the program, it complains that flash is not installed and aborts. I have leigh's 64 bit flash plugin installed but guess that's not enough. Any guidance appreciated.

Hi everyone, I am setting up Ubuntu CE as a media center for my home entertainment system and since I have young children I wanted something safe. So far it seems to work well except for Hulu and Hulu desktop. I did a fresh install of Ubuntu CE and those are the only things that don't work. Any ideas?

So I downloaded the modded landscape only hack of Hulu Plus, and it works for the most part, but searching for a show doesn't seem to function properly (keeps taking me out to the main menu), and some of the menus you go into have nothing on the screen till you scroll down, like they aren't centered properly or something.
