I have IIS 7.5 set to compress all static files (the default), yet it does not compress .js (javascript) files.
I'm using Apache to compress render HTML files but it's not working. Why?
Well i guess i can't make this question cuz' is like a discussion but i don't know what to do... i want to know what is better for a large traffic website... an example.
I am often asked about by people how they should test their PHP applications. Because PHP is a server-side programming language, you can't just open the file in your web browser, like with HTML or JavaScript. You need to upload it to a server where the script can be run. But what if you don't want to rent space on a server, or if you want to make testing of PHP scripts much faster?
Server A: Windows Server 2008 R2, IIS 7, admin - me
Server B: Windows Server 2008 R2, IIS 7, admin - company server admin group
I have a Javascript file that works well on my local machine. The JS file also works on Server B. When loaded to Server A, the page returns the error "Unspecified error" with a go to line that doesn't mean much in either the HTML or the JS.
I am working with a server on the Amazon AWS Cloud. I have PHP & MySQL Running on a Linux Server with Apache. I am attempting to get the GD Image Library working.
I have run yum -y install php-gd. The server ran the install, and when I now run rpm -q php-gd , it says php-gd-5.3.8-3.20.amzn1.x86_64 , which I think means that the GD Library is installed.
I have two servers.
I am setting up a load balanced system on Amazon AWS. I will be uploading photos to my server and then reading the photos off the server from another device.
Let's say I have Server-A and Server-B running on my load balancer. If I upload a photo and hit Server-A, then I am assuming I won't be able to see the photo on Server-B.
What is the best way to handle this?
I'm renting a dedicated server which has a fixed / static IP and I'm using this server / IP for my business.
I'm hosting a webapp / webappserver on it (Apache + Tomcat) and I've also set it up as a HTTP Proxy (Squid).
I do need to test both websites and softwares (because that is precisely my job) that are restricted geographically (based on the IP adress) to the region where I did rent my dedic
