so i have an EVO 4G LTE with HBOOT 1.12, SW v1.13.651.1 710RD.
i just rooted the device using ZEDOMAX script, and i've been reading but i need a confirmation from someone that's been more active than me with an EVO 4G LTE. As of today, there is no S-OFF method that doesnt use the HTCDEV ?
i'm trying to unlock the bootloader without having to use the HTCDEV.
I just followed all of the steps to unlock the bootloader through HTCDev, but I'm having trouble in getting it to an unlocked state. Every time I flash the unlock_code.bin in fastboot, it prompts me if I want to unlock the bootloader, I select yes and the device formats and restarts.

This requires S-OFF to use, follow at your own risk!
This will let you unlock your bootloader without htcdev and also let you change your hboot watermark from RELOCKED back to stock LOCKED.
Advantages:No having your data partition wiped
The ability to get back to 100% stock without any visual trace of having unlocked your bootloader
Does not modify the hboot so works independently and can be
I searched every single POST in this forum, and many many others.. and there is no one that has ever did this.
So i have a ultimate request for you, if you do it i guarantee that you will be the first who ever made that.
The request is simple:

I tried everything, from following the htcdev.com tutorial to unlock via fastboot...
