When I select Airplane mode a message comes up saying: Airplane mode allows you to turn off calling, messaging and data network features. It also turns off connectivity features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Hello everyone.
I'm just wondering if the airplane mode on my android phone is only a fake. I've been trying for weeks to turn on and off the airplane mode of my phone but it never becomes an airplane, nor even show me a wheel, a wing or any other stuff that belongs to a plane.
WHY? WHY? Who can tell me WHY? Will your phone become a plane if you turn on the airplane mode?
I'm following the XDA $30 Tmobile guide (same as the one on here) to program tasker for automating airplane mode when connected to WIFI but am running into some problem with Tasker. From what I can tell, my N4 goes into airplane mode (airplane icon on upper right screen shows up) when I'm connected to WIFI.
Hi
I'm having a Sony X8 with Android 2.1.
I use it to track my bicycle rides, so the GPS is essential. But I don't need the phone-part of the phone when riding. I hope you understand me, I don't want to talk to anybody on the phone anyway, do I usually mute the phone.
The Gnome documentation states
Switch Airplane Mode on. This will turn off your wireless connection until you switch off airplane mode again.
Using Airplane Mode will completely turn off both wireless and Bluetooth connections.
I have Airplane Mode turned on in my Network Settings, but still am able to access both Wireless and Bluetooth.
So, what is the real purpose of having Airplane Mode?
Hi,
first of all I want to thank all of you pushing the SGS to the newest level of smartphone software.
Here is the problem:
I installed CM9 exactly as it was discribed in the tutorials.
I have an old Droid 2 that doesn't function as a phone that I only use in Airplane mode. I occasionally turn on WiFi to download an app or to sync something.
It's running MIUI.
A strange thing that I keep running into is that it wants to activate on bootup, but I can't activate (not an active device) or skip it.
Has anyone had issues with their OV not turning on?
I have had my OV for a few months now. Unfortunately, I can no longer depend on it to turn on when I need it. I normally switch it over to airplane mode when I get to work. During the day I just tap the On-button, turn off airplane mode and I am able to quickly check my emails, etc. Last week it would not turn back on.
Hi, i've had this problem for a while now, that my p990 will crash almost instantly after you press the lock button when its not in airplane mode...
Im using Cyanogenmod-7.2.0 and the latest Vorkkernel with the flags "-silent and -bitrate".
