It always comes back saying it looks like you have a modified system you need to download new software Contact HTC Support, so I did using their messaging facilty. Went though what was going on, told him how I got the Phone and he came back and asked for IMEI # at (General)

Yep as the topic states, im in trouble, and i think i may need your help! Ive been lurking arround here for the past year, reading guides and looking at UI's for inspiration, but now i need some assistance getting a desire working again.

Thing is, Back in march i rooted the phone, installing revolutionary and tried off different roms.

hi guys..i'm new to the whole androidphones stuff. i'm from the philippines and i'm using an HTC Desire C. My HTC Desire S cant open in recovery in fastboot. First i rooted the phone, but i wanted to install ICS, for that I unrooted Desire S, and now my phone is relocked. and i can not go into recovery. please guide me to root desire s with ICS or i can roll back to 2.3

Me to many bugs after ics well i was told by Samsung and att we can go back. To gingerbread .I am having trouble with notification sound stopping daily between 3 and 5 its weird i on third phone from att same issue. A reboot fixes problem till next day at same time and am not doing anything to phone between this time.

Is there a way to know the phone's system info (hardware and software) through IMEI?

The reason I ask is that there is no "Settings-About.." on these phone except when it boots it reads "Samsung Galaxy Note II". Also, the IMEI printed on the back doesn't match when I type the code *#06#.

Hi, I have my Desire S totally with the stock system. So S-On, bootloader locked and oficial rom 2.3.5 branded from Vodafone Spain. Finally I decided to unlock my desire S and to change the rom, etc. After reading a lot, the following are the steps i want to do for that.

Before all I would like to back up my apps, sms etc, contacts are in google so i dont worry about them..

I've got lovely situation here. Bought new sealed HOX off Gumtree couple of weeks ago.

Called Vodafone, to order mini sim card, provided them IMEI, etc all good. SIM arrived phone was working fine until this morning. I had no coverage on my phone, tried resetting, etc.

I've called Vodafone, and we found out that this phone IMEI is now blacklisted, and phone cannot be used in UK.
