Hello.
When i have my smart stay enabled, and when i, for example, leave my phone on table beside me, not looking at it at all, screen is not turning off.. I have my screen timeout set to 30 seconds, and it is not turning off when i have smart stay enabled... Sometimes it turns off,and sometimes not..
The title says my problem. I am rooted, unlocked boot loader, rooted, and running AOKP Build 4 Jellybean. The phone was on at one point, and after the screen dimmed it wouldn't turn on. I did a battery pull and turned the phone back on and nothing happens. It vibrates, and the screen stays black. I have tried to boot it in download mode and recovery as well, but nothing has happened.
Not sure why but suddenly my screen won't shut off. This is killing my battery because the screen is always on. Tried turning the timer down, turned on power saver mode. Nothing. Suggestions?

So this is kind of a weird thing that just started happening lately. My friend and I have both had the Triumph since it came out. No problems whatsoever until about 2 weeks ago my friend's phone started having this problem and now about 3 days ago, my phone is having the same problem. The problem is the phone will be on and working fine.
My phone won't turn on. My button works, but when I press it the screen will turn on the in a flash it will turn off. Thankfully, when I plug it in, I can turn it on. I already tried restarting it and nothing happened. Someone please help?! My phone is in perfect condition so I don't know why its doing this
My g/f has a Vivid, and her complaint is absolutely HORRIBLE battery life. She's coming from a blackberry, so I know the screen size is making a HUGE impact. Upon looking at her battery usage, there's nothing keeping the phone awake (wakelock), so it's not a rogue app. The issue appears to be the screen usage.
I first noticed this issue after I turned on "Always Awake" so that the screen was always on when charging.
Hi everyone,
So I just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S3 this past Monday and exchanged it today for a new one because I went to turn on the screen and the phone was not responsive.
The screen would remain black and would not respond to any button on the phone. The notifications light was off and when I tried calling the phone it would ring on the outgoing end, but my phone would not.
Hi - my friend just got an S3 Mini, her first smartphone. However, her battery is draining like crazy even when she's not using it. I'm really hoping someone here might be able to help us diagnose the problem.
She has reduce the screen brightness to minimum and the screen auto-locks after 15 seconds.
