This is probably a frequently asked question, I guess. Using an unlocked phone on a network that has 4G and trying to benefit from it. I have a Samsung Galaxy Relay 4G (unlocked, T-Mobile branded), that, I'd like to use on Metro PCS. As an aside, my wife wanted to subscribe to the service, nuff said!!
I have known this site for quite some time now, but never registered.
But now i came across this problem on which i can't find the answer..
Today I flashed my mini from gingerbread 2.3.6 to Cm10.
Almost everything works fine,
but I have no mobile network.
I have Wifi, my IMEI (whatever it is) seems to be okay,
my APN is normal, and I tried rebooting but it just doesn't work.
Ok I have a rooted and unlocked Pan-tech Flex P8010. It originally was an AT&T locked Phone till I unlocked it (semi-successfully) and hooked it up to my current T-Mobile account. AT&T refused to give me an unlock code, so I bought one online. Worked smooth as silk for everything, well except the Internet.
I bought the HTC One Google Play Edition because I wanted an unlocked phone for when I travel overseas. I am a longtime T-Mobile subscriber and after getting the GPE I immediately noticed that it would not connect to the 4G network very reliably. Thinking this was a possible local network issue, T-Mobile loaned me a T-Mobile version of the HTC One to use side by side.
I got a Galaxy Exhibit phone from the States which was running ANDROID 2,3,5 under T-Mobile.Got phone unlocked and am now trying to connect data LTE on a South African MTN network.I rooted the phone using Zerg Rush .I do not have options for either 4g or Lte on Mobile Networks settings.I only see GSM and Wcdma.
