I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS version on my HP Pavilion G6 2006AX laptop. This is the only operating system that I have on my laptop (no dual boot).

Processor & Graphics detail: AMD A6-4400M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics × 2

I installed AMD catalyst 12.11 beta11 driver to support the Graphics card.

hopefully i have the right place for the thread this time lol.

my goal is to transfer the XP operating system from a Sony VAIO laptop on to either my desktop computer or (preferably)onto Virtualbox itself.

would this be at all possible? and if so, can the OS be "cloned" onto Virtualbox and leave the XP laptop fully functioning?

I had wireless up and running for several months on a new laptop (HP Pavilion Entertainment PC). Suddenly, a week ago, the wireless came up disabled (and continues to come up disabled), and the "enable wireless" option in the NetworkManager Applet 0,8 is greyed out.

I bought this laptop HP Pavilion g6-2313AX and many devices are not working with Ubuntu whereas it works nice even with windows 8 default installation.

I am trying to install fedora 18 on an old acer laptop.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6700 that I have been using Ubuntu on for several months, currently with 12.04. It is a laptop that had a broken screen, I normally have it connected by VGA to a Samsung SyncMaster 914v monitor.

I bought a Trendnet TK801R KVM switch, and would like to connect all my old machines along with the Pavilion.

All the older computer work and switch well.

system stops randomly 14 weeks 6 days ago
