HP Officejet 4110 no scan

http://crunchbanglinux.org – I'm a total noobie to Linux, #! is my first try at it, and I'm loving it. I have a HP Officejet 4110 which I can't get to scan. I've searched the forums and tried all the tips I could find that seemed like they might work, but no luck. Installed hplip, hpijs, cups, system-config-printer-common, and all show as newest version already installed. Printing works perfect, just can't get it to scan.  I'm guessing its day is done as a scanner in Linux? It still works great, so I can dual-part with XP and use that just for scanning, though I don't like having an (HowTos)

G'day all, I'm due for a new all-in-one printer/scanner. I'm thinking of a HP Officejet 6600 with wifi. Apparently it does I-printing as well. I can't find a straight forward driver for CUPS so this leads to a number of questions:

Does anyone have any experience with the machine? Recommendations?? and/or alternative? Does it require HPLIP? How does HPLIP compare to CUPS? Do they conflict? ie.

I have a trusty HP all-in-one solution which works via the wireless. It used to be detected automatically, print automatically, and scan automatically. The model is Photosmart Prem C310 series.

I haven't used it in 2 weeks or so.

I have an HP Deskjet All-in-one 3050A.

In Debian Testing I installed it through CUPS and the printer works fine. However I can't say the same about the scanner. I've tried install it using HPLIP, but it's the same.

I have an HP L7680 Officejet Pro All-In-One. The printer is recognized on the network without difficulty. The scanner on the other hand is not recognized. Simple Scan under preferences just sees my web cam and that is all. The L7680 is on and I have rebooted a couple times without luck for it to be recognized. Any help appreciated!!!

I have just bought a shiny new Canon MG6250 multifunction printer/scanner and connected it via LAN. Installing the printing side of things was a breeze, however, I cannot work out how to set up scanning.

I installed the MG6200 series ScanGear MP driver from Canon's site but when I open GIMP or Simple Scan, they say there is no scanner detected.

I can not get my Ubuntu 11.10 system to recognize the scanner in my HP Photosmart 5510 multi-funtion printer. I have loaded the HPLIP extras from my terminal window and loaded the latest HPLIP. I have searched the web and all forums for any mention of Photosmart 5510 Ubuntu drivers with no success. I have Simple Scan, Skanlite, and XSane all installed.

Hallo everyone, here i am with the next little problem:i installed simple scan with synaptic but i can not find the way to let it run my printer/scanner.The fact is that because i cannot save anything on the desktop i cannot run the fie i download from the hp site, hplip, through the terminal.Any suggestio?Must be honest, if i can handle to scan my documents it will mean Crunchbang, Debian and Ope
