hello,
I have get random freeze from my notebook (Asus u31sd) and i think I'll need some help to find why.
So here are some info:
- uname -a:
3.2.0-36-generic #57-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jan 8 21:44:52 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
- i have installed Bumblebee -> https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bumblebee
After freeze, i can move the mouse but i can't click on anything and ctrl + F1,F
Since I started out using Linux with Ubuntu (10.04), I have been testing various Gnome-based desktop environments for a new system. The new ones listed above all have the same problem, which is that they tend to freeze when the system is (I guess) overloaded with processes.
Hi all,
I hope this thread won't be marked as spam, but i can't find solutions to my problem.
A few days ago I installed Jelly Bean Firmware (4.1.2 I9100XXLSJ) on my Galasy S2. I folowed some tutorial and based on this tutorial everything should look fine, but isn't.
Now my GS2 freeze and restart very (very) often, maibe it is hard to cound how many times per day.
Ubuntu 11.10 is not working the internal bluetooth on my laptop hp pavilion dv6 3152er. The problem is that the bluetooth does not find the device (phone).

Hi all, I am on Ubuntu 11.04 64bit on a notebook Dell XPS 16.
I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 565v with proprietary drivers installed (fglrx).
The problem I'm facing with is that sometimes when boot is going to complete or is completed, the graphical interface (gnome in my case) remains totally blocked and nothing works.
I tried to wait a little but the pc seems completely gone.
I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on my SONY VAIO VPCEH (with Windows 7 Home Basic
previously installed). Sometimes when I boot in Ubuntu, following things happen:
Ubuntu loading screen seems to freeze.
Esc key doesn't show installation progress.
Hard-drive led doesn't glow.
caps lock and scroll lock keys keep blinking.
I've to manually restart my laptop.
The primary symptom is that apps frequently freeze up, graying out. I've read that the gray is a visual signal from compiz for apps that have become unresponsive.
It happens so often that the machine is basically unusable. Every time I interact with an X app, e.g. Firefox and Software Center, they will freeze and go gray.
