CIO Update: "Hewlett-Packard on Friday expanded its worldwide recall of notebook batteries for laptops sold between 2007 and 2008 in a variety of notebooks due to the risk of catching fire."
Another May, and another HP battery recall. This time around US Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of 162,000 Li-Ion battery packs that were sold with HP and Compaq notebooks.

I recall reading somewhere that there is a Portage API for Python, yet I cannot find any documentation on it. I'm working on an auto-update script for my server, and would love to use an API to run emerge rather than calling it from the command line and parsing the output.
Does anyone know if this API even exists, and if so, is there any documentation on it?
