My card is Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01). I have Ubuntu 14.04 LTS in which I have just upgraded to in hopes that it would fix this same problem I experienced in 12.04. I'm currently running wifi from a usb controller, but I need the internal card to work because this wifi usb controller is not mine, nor is it small.
Could you, pls, help me with my wireless card Atheros AR9285 on Ubuntu 10.12..
I've already went through all possible advices and still cannot start my wireless card.
I have a laptop Toshiba Portege Z830 where Wifi've already worked under Windows 7.
But after migration on Ubuntu 10.12.
Qualcomm is buying wireless chipset maker Atheros for $3.1 billion, in a move designed to help the company grow beyond its traditional business as a technology supplier for mobile phones and deeper into such areas as smartphones and tablets....
I use Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon (x64) with 3.13.0-27-generic kernel, and my wifi card is only works with 45Mbps but my internet connection is 60/5 Mbps (The notebook with Win 7 and same wifi card works great with 60/5 Mbps).
I tried the 3.13.0-24 and the 188.8.131.52 kernel and i get this same low speed. Any idea?
