A couple of weeks ago my HP laserjet 1018 began making some extra sounds when feeding paper. It sounded as if it were feeding paper too soon. The cartridge was about out of toner so I replaced it with a new HP cartridge. The noise continued and now after printing just 10 pages with the new cartridge, it won't print any more.
I am new to Linux. I have recently installed Fedora 17 on my Laptop in dual boot mode with windows 7. For printing I have to restart my system in Windows 7. Please suggest:
1. Is there way a to print using Win 7 installed printers from fedora 17.
I have an HP Color LaserJet cm1312nfi connected to the ethernet jack on a D-Link DPR-1260 wireless usb print server - so the print server acts as a wireless bridge. I can't get any Ubuntu box to print to the LaserJet. Windows XP and Vista laptops on the network print to it just fine.
My HP LaserJet 6L is refusing to print for me under Fedora 11. I had no problems with it under previous versions of Fedora, and indeed it's still printing fine from my laptop running Fedora 8. When I try to print something it says it's out of paper, but it isn't.
