I am new to Linux. I have recently installed Fedora 17 on my Laptop in dual boot mode with windows 7. For printing I have to restart my system in Windows 7. Please suggest:
1. Is there way a to print using Win 7 installed printers from fedora 17.
I have an HP Color LaserJet cm1312nfi connected to the ethernet jack on a D-Link DPR-1260 wireless usb print server - so the print server acts as a wireless bridge. I can't get any Ubuntu box to print to the LaserJet. Windows XP and Vista laptops on the network print to it just fine.
My HP LaserJet 6L is refusing to print for me under Fedora 11. I had no problems with it under previous versions of Fedora, and indeed it's still printing fine from my laptop running Fedora 8. When I try to print something it says it's out of paper, but it isn't.
I have an Asrock H77M board with an LPT port header. One year ago, I vaguely recalled making a successful print or two with an HP LaserJet 2100 under Linux Mint 12; I certainly did install it successfully on there. Now, I have been able to get the computer to send a signal out to the printer under both Windows 8 and Linux, but I cannot print out actual documents.
I've searched high and low for any hint on how to add my CP400 printer in 13.04. When I hit the Add button under printers, the only thing that shows up is my HP Laserjet and the Forward button is greyed out. Same thing if I use CUPS localhost:631 in my browser. lsusb indicates the CP400 is connected.
