After a recent update of muffin-git*, popup (mostly right-click) menus in all applications have become invisible - if I click where I think the popup menu is supposed to be, a random action occurs (as I don't know which command is being clicked). Firefox compact menu uses a popup so this does not display either. Popup menus only work in Java applications (e.g., libre-office).Norma
I did a 'yum update' and now my applications menu in openbox won't work. I think they changed the directory of the applications.menu file to /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu instead of /usr/libexec/openbox-xdg-menu... but even when i link that in the menu.xml it comes up with this error
Hmm. I`ve never used the GUI. I`m always editing the files directly. But this new menu you are talking about... Is it a totally new right-click menu, or do you just want to add a new menu, inside the existing menu? Anyway, you should be able to add any items you want in the new menu, and remove them from the menus they were in.
As mentioned in an OMG! Ubuntu! post, menus and toolbars of GTK3 apps are fixed in Ubuntu themes. But there’s still an inconsistency in Ubuntu theming between GTK2 and GTK3 menus where GTK2 apps don’t follow theme colors for menus.
I know this is possible in GTK2 as well by editing gtkrc file and setting the menu style the same as the existing dark style.
I'm sorry for not being clear.Pcmanfm has a bookmark in the sidepane between trash and drives which reads 'Applications'. When you click on it pcmanfm is supposed to show installed applications. They can be launched from there too.In the pcmanfm arch wiki it sais to install gnome-menus to achieve this.
Here's the situation: I have installed Gnome and KDE alongside with default Studio Xfce in Ubuntu Studio 12.04. I want use the default Studio menu structure in Xfce, with some modifications (remove the things that i don't need in that environment).
Here is a small but nifty update to Google Search: if you ask it to find a restaurant menu for you, it will now often just show you the menu right on the search results page. Try this for a search like “show me the menu for fogo de chao” and the menu will be right there.
