I have a palm treo 755 which I been trying to sync with my desktop.
Ubuntu 10.04.
gnome-pilot
I pretty much tried everything but hitting a dead end.
As soon as I plug the USB cable in to the computer and connect the palm the palm start restarting.
I've been running Kubuntu (up to 10.10 now) and also OpenSuSE. I have a Palm Pilot that I want to synchronize to the KDE databases for kontact, kaddressbook, korganizer, etc. Until my upgrade to KDE 4.5.4 I was able to use kpilot, but kpilot is no longer being maintained and has been dropped altogether from KDE 4.5.4. So I've been stranded.

I have found an original PalmPilot in very good condition and bought it for 10 bucks. Now I want to synchronize it with my Ubuntu system using gnome-pilot. It once connected successfully when I reset the Palm, but when I tried to install an .prc, using 'gpilot-install-file', the 'gpilotd' crashed. After restarting it, it wouldn't work again and gnome-pilot seems to constantly crash.
Hi,
Anyone knows how to configure virtual serial port over bluetooth? I
tried bluez site http://www.bluez.org/ but could not find much info.
I also found this file /etc/bluetooth/serial.conf from bluetoothd log
msgs, but could not find reference on how to use serial.conf.
Palm issued a public release of the Mojo software development kit for its new webOS operating system, in what could possibly be a response to leaks of the SDK in June. The SDK, given a limited release in April, had been slated for public release by the end of summer.
