Running Mandriva One 2010, wireless works great in Live mode. When installed, I can only connect to unsecured networks (BTFon, BTOpenzone) but not to my own BTHomeHub network, which has a WPA key. I guess the problem is something to do with wpa_supplicant, but I'm not 100% sure what to do about it.
Hi All,
I need a English dictionary to search meaning of words. I have done google searches as well as searched this forum but was unsuccessful in finding one. I am trying to find and install an offline dictionary i.e. it should work even if there is no internet connection. It should not be online dictionary.
Hope some of you may come up with some solutions.
I just installed Mandriva 2010. It boots up, begins to start and goes into a black command prompt page, asks for login and password. When I answer appropriately it stares at expecting bash commands? I'm confused, I was expecting a desktop to appear.

Tired of not knowing anything except Windows. Bought a Dell mini with Ubuntu 8.04 installed on it and I'm working on learning Unix from the command line. This Forum ought to be helpful once I get a little further along.
Trash, USBs, filesystem, etc.. These icons are on my desktop, but I can't for the life of me find where that option is..
I want them gone, anyhow. Any suggestions?
I got to the part where I'm supposed to partition Mint. I've got a 500GB hard drive, and I thought I'd give 300GB to LM--but I'm unclear about using ext2, 3 or 4. What about the swap file? Is that automatic?
Thanks,
