How to update the USB Ubuntu (ISO) with new software

http://askubuntu.com – I have Peppermint (based on Ubuntu) running of USB. Its bascially an ISO image that loads using Grub4Dos. Problem is that I each time I load Ubuntu - and want to use i.e. teamviewer or Firefox...I have to install it on the running live system. Since its running from a ISO image...a reboot means the software is gone. I can edit/open the ISO image using WinImage (on XP) - would you know how I can add extra software into this ISO image so next time Ubuntu loads...the new software is on there? Is there some special repositary director where I should copy the software files into and recreate the (HowTos)

I got worried when I got a few software updates relating to image manipulation software. The specific software update names were imagemagick and libmagickwand2.

What specifically do they mean when they say image manipulation software/programs? Is it something like Gimp, or is it something else? Furthermore, how can I permanently delete a software update from the list?

I am running Ubuntu 12.04 dual boot on an Vista Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop. Everything was running smoothly until I tried to install Cheese through the Software Center. If I Image a drive with the likes of dd (or anything else if someone can recommend something) will that image include the data of deleted files etc. The sort of thing that one would look to recover with testdisk recovery software?

Hi, I have ubuntu 10.04 on my PC and after installing CUDA 4.1 and Kate editor on it, everything seems to have some problem...

I can't seem to find one built for my distro (12.10). And all of the ones I've tried to use through wine or crossover X don't seem to be grabbing the correct URL's even though I copy+paste. Does anyone know of a piece of software that is built for Ubuntu that downloads images en masse from 4chan? Or can someone show me an example of this kind of software running through wine.
