When I try to uninstall Office 2007 with Wine Software, it says uninstall failed?
I have done a bit of research on WineHQ and other places, but cannot seem to get Office to install. I am running openSUSE 11.2 and from what I have read, Office should install and run without issue. I have a relatively fresh install, but had added the winetricks (with lots of errors and no success) and then afterward uninstalled wine and reinstalled.
Got a version of MS Office 2007 installed on my Windows partition. I am using WINE 1.2.2 on Ubuntu 10.4 LTS (which has been upgraded here and there along the way).
I can use all the other MS Office appliations without any problems. Power Point, Excel, etc...
BUT - when I try to us Word it crashes. I can open it - and type - but anything else (trying to save, whatever) it will crash.

Hi all.
I messed up and killed my Windows and Ubuntu partition. I reinstalled Ubuntu only (12.10 I think) then installed wine then installed MS office 2003 Student and teacher edition.

Today, after beating my brains out trying to install Office 2007 with Wine 1.4 in Precise, I ended up resorting to using PlayOnLinux. What I learned about PlayOnLinux is that it makes installing things a dream, but it makes the general usability of those things an absolute nightmare.
Hello all,I just installed MS Office 2007 in Wine (an official retail version with an authentic product key). Installation goes well and everything works, however MS Office asks for an activation on its first launch. When I click on "activate via the internet" I get an error saying it can't connect. Can you help me solve this?
I have installed Microsoft Office using Play On Linux, but Libre office is the default for opening all office-files. On the list of other applications to open the file with Word, PowerPoint, and excel do not appear.
