Are there any ways to transfer data without wifi or cloud based services from my Ubuntu Desktop PC to my Nexus 7 (tablet) which is running Ubuntu and NOT Android.
Or is there any other solution to this problem, besides using memory unit and OTG-cable?
Is there a way to mount the tablet when it is connected via cable?
Hello,
last night i received my OTG cable. My nexus is rooted with custom kernel so I decided to transfer some files from my usb stick. Everything was fine when i plugged and played some song from flash stick but then i leave it connected for 2 hours and when i come back my nexus was dead..
I tried everything but its always black screen.
I have successfully paired and connected my Nexus 7 with my Ubuntu 12.04 PC. I have successfully sent files from the PC to my android device, but when I try to do it the other way around the Nexus 7 reports 'request cannot be handled correctly (I select file to transfer, then select; share via blue-tooth then select my Ubuntu PC)
Thanks if you can help.
Okay, so as the title says, I need to transfer files from computer to computer(laptop-desktop, both have Ubuntu 11.10 installed) without internet.
So today I decided to throw away my old desktop computer, but I had a cruel idea; why wouldn't I use it as my external hard drive...
I just got my nexus 4 and when I try to plug it into my Mac and running Android File Transfer it keeps telling me " No Android device found" I tried with MTP mode and with PTP mode, I also turned on the debugging mode, and it still doesn't work.
Hey all.
I'm new here and new to Android in general.
I've read a lot about transferring photos to the N7 via Media Importer App.
I'm leaving on a trip soon (Friday) and wanted to use my N7 as a storage device for photos I take on the trip and then be able to transfer them to my Macbook Air when I return home.
I just got an LG Nexus 4, and I'm having trouble getting it to talk with my PC. I use ubuntu 12.10 as an OS, and I can't seem to find a way to transfer music from my computer to my phone. I connected it with a USB and nadda.
Any tips or solutions would be appreciated.
A little bit of a disclaimer, I have very little knowledge of the correct terminology for some of the things I'm going to ask about, and I apologize in advance
I have a Nexus S 4g phone that is, at the moment of writing, connected to my 11.10 computer through its USB charger cable.
I'm basically having problems transfering files to my Nexus 7. I'd like to know if these are normal issues that can be overcome, or if perhaps I have myself a faulty unit...
First issue is that I can't access my tablet from my fully-updated Windows 7 x64 computer. The Nexus says it's connecting as a mass storage device, but the driver goes unfound and unistalled.
