I'd like to have my Windows Chrome bookmarks on my Ubuntu Chrome.
My Win XP partition crashed, ergo I can not export my Chrome bookmarks in to an .html file in Windows. I do have my 'Bookmarks' and 'Bookmarks.bak' file.
Well, I want to have Linux and Windows Vista, both running on a machine. Do not want to get rid of Windows Vista, so what should I do after downloading Linux. On an HP g60, I reset windows vista to factory using the recovery partition. Everything worked fine. After resetting vista, I installed Ubuntu 13.10(64 bit). Btw, vista is 32 bit.

I would like to know if there exists an API and also a command to find the bookmarks file name and path in ubuntu.
My application writes to the bookmarks file to add some short cuts. Before ubuntu 11.X the bookmarks file used to be in "/home/myname/.gtk-bookmarks", but post ubuntu 13.0X it is inside "/home/myname/.config/gtk-3.0/bookmarks".
