Hello!
I need to switch the keyboard to English and Arabic on fedora 18.
What I did was to install tweak tool to turn on the modifiers switch. It worked once but when I powered off and again on again I only have English!!!
Anything extra I should do?
Initially, I only intended to use Fedora 11 until Windows 7 was in stores, but after playing around with it for a month, I might not switch back to MS any time soon. It's been a great experience so far. I have tinkered around with other distros before, but I think I have fallen in love with Fedora.
I dropped my PE and the only casualty was a broken power switch. I just slides back and forth with no resistance or spring back. I opened it up and it looks like that could be something missing between the plastic switch on the case and the component on the mother board that must actually make the contact.
I used usb_modeswitch but the result was
"No default vendor/product found."
But usbmod_switch.conf file has all the vendor & product id contained in it.
And modeprobe is also not effective.
Even Sakis3g script fails to switch my datacard into modem.
I've been wanting to switch over to Fedora KDE for a while, but since Kubunu stopped booting earlier, I decided that I might as well switch now. I need to shrink the kubuntu partition size and install the new Fedora partition. Then manually transfer my data over to Fedora. Then delete my Kubuntu partition, then expand my Fedora partition to take up the whole drive.
Hello everyone,
I tested Fedora 12 yesterday on my 64-bit PC.
Hi all I am using fedora 11 from last one or + year. Just few days back I have try to install fedora 13 on new hdd I have brought. my have install fedora 13 on fresh drive and while installation i gave hdd of 11 to mount into fedora 13. but something went wrong. now i can not boot fedora 11 with single drive. the boot process starts normally and suddenly gives following errors.
Ian's Thoughts: "When I find an outstanding distro, such as Fedora, I prefer to buy the media from an on-line vendor as a way of showing my support. Most of the time the money goes directly to the vendor, however, I happened upon the Sponsored Media Program today and found a vendor who participates in this program."
My new laptop (Dell Inspiron 14z) comes with preinstalled Windoze 8, and I can't seem to install Fedora on the damn thing. Fedora 17 CDs and DVDs gets recognized as boot media, but immediately after choosing that media to boot from, Windoze starts up again.
