I just installed owncloud on an ubuntu 12.04 server (sudo apt-get install owncloud)
Everything seemed fine, i can access owncloud on http://localhost/owncload
When i try to connect a Windows client I get the follwing error msg:

I have installed owncloud server on a desktop and can connect on local only. No problem accessing with browser at localhost/owncloud; however get connection refused when trying to access from either of my notebooks.
The server and one notebook are running Fedora 19_64 bit.

I had Owncloud running on a server that had died, I remember installing being easy, I have migrated server and Owncloud is one of the last apps to install.
Ok Just downloaded and installed the newest version of Owncloud on a Ubuntu 14.04 server with PHP 5.5.9-1, I am trying the manual install.
I am currently using a Debian 7.1 system for web serving purposes.
I am using nginx as web server and am running owncloud.
Owncloud is installed in /var/www/owncloud
Data sent into owncloud resides in /var/www/owncloud/data
Now, after testing some and I have limited space on the drive in the server, I was tempted to test using an NFS-mount on an OmniOS/ napp-it based serve
So I set up my apache2 web-server to work with owncloud and it works fine in my local network ( access through server-ip/owncloud ).
But if I want to access the owncloud dir via my domain im redirected from domain.com/owncloud to localhost/owncloud , from every machine I tried on.
So can anyone tell me, how I can get my webserver to a) not redirecting to localhost/owncloud and b) make
