I have a Debian Linux server setup on Linode. I am using Postfix for mail and have set it for myrealdomain.com.
Some of the pages on my site have a php form, that when filled out gets sent to my email address, which is also at myrealdomain.com. I am using Google Apps for my email.
For some reason, I assume since it is sending to the same domain, I never get the email.
Hello all,
I'm having problems with my email server setup.
I've installed postfix, and courier. As well as SquirrelMail to access the mail. I can send and receive just fine with a few other email servers I tested. But I fail to receive any email from gmail.
I'm trying to set up a smtp server on my domain (wixencafe.net), and i'm using postfix for that.
First thing is, postfix delivers emails coming from outside, that is, if i send an email from gmail.com to wixencafe.net, i get the email in my Mailbox/
Second thing is, if i send an email from wixencafe.net (from the server cli via mutt -f Maildir/) to gmail.com, i get it too, so i guess that means

hello.
iv'e been working on setting up an email server. I'm using ubuntu server 10.04LTS adminstrated mostly in webmin.
I can send email from the terminal in the server.
i can receive email using pop in live mail and thunder bird.
when i try to send mail, it fails.
I've moved one of my web sites over to a dedicated server. I'd like to move all my other sites over as I can pretty much do everything I need to do, except setup an email server. This is usually a pretty complicated task from everything I've read about postfix.
Email setup is the one thing holding me back.
I setup the email server. I am able to send out mail but when I try to receive mail by sending an email to myself from another email, it doesn't work.
I have been trying to correctly get linux to send an email using mutt. I keep getting localhost as the sending server.
